Usage Of Triacetin
Triacetin is a non-toxic, biodegradable oily ester with excellent compatibility, widely applied in tobacco, food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical industry and fine chemical synthesis.
1. Tobacco industry
It is the most common cigarette filter plasticizer, used to bond cellulose acetate tow and shape cigarette filters, improving filter hardness, toughness and forming stability.
2. Food & daily cosmetics
Serves as flavor fixative, humectant and solvent for food essence, chewing gum and daily cream; used as softener and solvent in skin care products, lipstick and makeup.
3. Pharmaceutical field
Used as drug solvent, capsule plasticizer and excipient, improving the ductility and stability of slow-release capsules.
4. Industrial application
Used as solvent for inks, coatings, casting resin, and auxiliary plasticizer for plastic and rubber materials.
