Usage of EDC HCL
EDC HCl (1-Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide hydrochloride) is a highly efficient water-soluble carbodiimide coupling agent, widely used in biochemical, pharmaceutical, and organic synthesis fields:
1. Peptide Synthesis
It serves as a key coupling reagent in solid-phase and solution-phase peptide synthesis, promoting amide bond formation between amino acids with high yield and low racemization.
