Usage of Chlorphenesin
Chlorphenesin is a broad-spectrum synthetic antimicrobial preservative, widely applied in cosmetics and personal care formulations. It exhibits strong inhibitory effect against fungi, mould, yeast and gram-positive bacteria.
It prevents microbial spoilage and extends shelf life for skincare & hair care products. Compatible with leave-on and rinse-off formulations such as moisturizers, serums, creams, sunscreens, foundations, eye care products, cleansers, shampoos, conditioners and body lotions. Recommended maximum dosage: 0.3% (EU regulatory limit). It is commonly blended with other preservatives to enhance preservative efficacy.
