TREMELLA FUCIFORMIS POLYSACCHARIDE is well used as acidic heteropolysaccharide, obtained from the fruity bodies of Tremella fuciformisBerk, whose main chain structure is mannitan connected by α-(1→3) glycosidic bonds, and the side chains are composed of glucuronic acid and xylose. The acidic heteropolysaccharides existing in the spores of deep fermentation of Tremella fuciformis have a main chain structure similar to the above, with only differences in the side chains. It is a polysaccharide produced by deep culture of Tremella fuciformis of the Basidiomycetes subclass and is an acidic polysaccharide. After hydrolysis, its composition includes xylose, mannose, fucose, glucose and glucuronic acid, etc., with a sugar content of over 75%. In addition to polysaccharides, its products also contain spores. It is a white powder, soluble in water but insoluble in organic solvents such as alcohol and ether.
