Usage of Pyrogallic Acid
1. Photographic developer & imaging reagent
Used as a developing agent in traditional film photography and blueprint processing; it reacts rapidly with silver ions to form silver precipitates.
2. Oxygen absorbent / oxygen scavenger
Strong reducing agent for absorbing oxygen from gas mixtures. Widely used for gas analysis, inert gas protection and oxygen removal in sealed systems.
