Sodium Taurocholate is the sodium salt of taurocholic acid, a naturally occurring conjugated bile acid formed from cholic acid and taurine. As an anionic biological detergent and bile salt, it plays a vital role in lipid digestion, cholesterol solubilization and bile acid transport studies.
