Use of tert-Butyldimethylsilyl chloride
tert-Butyldimethylsilyl chloride is well used to a commonly used silanizing agent and one of the most widely applied important protecting groups in organic synthesis. It is used as a protecting group for hydroxyl groups in the synthesis of ribonucleosides, and also serves as an oxidant and decyanidation agent.
